Daydream Kids from Levine Children’s Hospital & Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital loved kicking off the Charlotte Touchdown Club’s Speaker Series with Carolina Panthers’ Greg Olsen! Special thanks to Olsen & the Touchdown Club for partnering with us to serve a larger group of local kids.
Olsen gave an inspiring speech about the importance of youth sports, his foundation, God’s plan, and serving others!
“Serving others outside yourself is the most rewarding thing.” – Olsen
Meet one of our special guests, Noah. Noah is an 11-year-old from Indian Trial who LOVES the Carolina Panthers. What’s even better- Greg Olsen is his favorite! Noah lives with sickle cell anemia, and in addition to that, he has been faced with quite a few additional challenges in the past year. Just last fall he was diagnosed with bone cancer. But after treatment and surgery, he began walking without assistance and was eager to take on the next challenge. He is an incredibly determined and tough kid! In fact, in just two months he will receive his last round of chemo! We were thrilled to be able to show him and our other Daydream Kids support at Friday’s Speaker Luncheon.
During the luncheon, our special guest Noah went up on stage to draw a raffle winner. After hearing his story, the luncheon’s guests gave him a standing ovation, wow!
