If you have been following the Jr. Dream Team this “season” then you have heard about the “Flock Squad.” If you haven’t, then you may need to click on these links (Flock Squad | Dream Kid Christian) to get the full story.
Now back to the missing birds…
The Jr. Dream, a.k.a. Flock Squad, was minding their own business, removing the flamingos as quickly as possible from any classroom that had received a disruption. Then, the little pink trouble-makers went missing. Not just for a few minutes. Completely missing. Not one single sighting. They might be birds but something was definitely fishy.
As much trouble as these birds can be, the Flock Squad had a purpose; remove the birds so they can raise money to send Christian on his sports dream. No birds – no money. So needless to say, there was quite a frenzy trying to locate the birds. The squad didn’t have to search too long when they received this:
THE FLAMINGOS HAD BEEN BIRDNAPPED!
A few of the squad members were led on a wild flamingo chase landing them at a teacher’s house where they located the bright pink creatures! They had been “flocked!”
It turns out, the “birdnappers” have guilty consciouses and actually made a donation over $100 to the Flock Squad in order to make up for all the trouble they had caused. The flamingos were replaced to their rightful home and all is well again at Northwest Cabarrus High School!
We love the creativity of this Jr. Dream Team and we can’t wait to see what is in store next!
