Christian is 18 years old and is a senior at Northwest Cabarrus High School in Concord, NC. His school has been selected to partner with us for the Junior Dream Team program in the 2016-2017 school year. This high school has shown great initiative, excitement, and a passion for serving others. With our help, a team of students will plan a Dream Experience for Christian, who was selected by his fellow classmates. Through this program, students are learning about fundraising, the nonprofit sector, and teamwork while developing critical character traits such as compassion, generosity, and dependability. These students will lead an entire school, and even an entire community, as they help make Christian’s Dream come true!
Christian lives with cerebral palsy, which affects body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle control, reflex, posture, and balance. Although Christian cannot walk, he makes his grand slam entrance into a room with his power chair.
Although Christian doesn’t know exactly what he wants to be when he grows up, he does know he would love to be able to work in the sports field. His absolute favorite team is the New York Yankees however, he also likes the Alabama Crimson Tide and his favorite coach is Coach K of the Duke Blue Devils!
Christian’s sports dream is to “see the Yankees play at Yankee Stadium.” In addition to seeing the Yankees, he is also very excited about flying in an airplane for the very first time!
