Meet Bradley

Meet Bradley, the definition of resilience. Prior to his injury, he was a vibrant, adventurous teen who loved scuba diving, traveling the world, working on cars and motorcycles, and listening to all kinds of music. Just days before his 17th birthday, Bradley’s life was forever changed when he was involved in a catastrophic motorcycle collision.

Doctors did not expect him to survive the night — let alone wake up, breathe, eat, communicate, or walk again. But Bradley has defied the odds every step of the way. Through countless hours of therapy, he has regained his ability to talk, sing, walk, and live with joy. Music played a huge role in his recovery, breaking down barriers when words failed, and reminding everyone around him of his unstoppable spirit as he sang along to Post Malone and Queen.

Today, Bradley continues to push forward despite physical and cognitive challenges. He has returned to high school with determination to graduate and never stops sharing his humor, love, and positivity with everyone he meets. His therapists often say therapy has become his new sport — and like his favorite athlete, Patrick Mahomes, Bradley gives it everything he’s got.

Bradley’s ultimate sports dream is to step onto the field with the Kansas City Chiefs and then watch the game as a VIP guest. It’s the perfect way to honor how far he has come — and how he continues to inspire others by never giving up.

Bradley's Dream

The weekend kicked off with us picking Bradley up in a limo. Our first stop for the weekend was the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium where we had a behind-the-scenes tour, giving Bradley a rare look at what happens behind the exhibits! As an avid scuba diver, he was fascinated to see up close how the animals he’s encountered underwater are cared for each day. Then it was off to Blue Sushi Sake Grill for a delicious lunch!

Next, we were off to check in at the Loews Kansas City Hotel where the staff welcomed Bradley like a VIP! They had a special autograph session with him and prepared his room with a thoughtful gift celebrating his special weekend and his favorite snacks.

That evening we went to Rally House in the Power & Light District for a shopping spree. As soon as we arrived, Bradley was met with a high-five line from staff and customers alike — just like a Kansas City Chiefs player running onto the field. Bradley enjoyed picking out Chiefs gear and soaking up the incredible energy and support from everyone around him.

We finished up the first night with dinner at The Capital Grille. It was the perfect end to our first night in Kansas City!

Day two started with a tour of The Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame Museum with our host, Chiefs Hall of Famer Gary Spani! Bradley soaked in the history and legacy of the organization before heading down to the field for pregame events.

From there, the dream truly came to life. Bradley stepped onto the field and high-fived players as they ran out!

One of the most unforgettable moments of the weekend came when Bradley was presented with the official game ball by none other than Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Bradley also managed to snag an autograph, creating a memory he and his dad will cherish forever.

Bradley’s Dream Weekend was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do — creating moments of joy, confidence, and unforgettable memories for kids and teens living with life-altering conditions.
