Bryson's Dream

Meet Bryson

High speeds, the roar of engines, and the thrill of victory – these are the things that excite Dream Kid Bryson. Bryson is an 11-year-old boy from Rutherfordton, NC who dreams of becoming a NASCAR driver and meeting his hero, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. It’s a rare talent to successfully drive and race a NASCAR at speeds of 200 mph. Imagine if your dream was to do something like race cars but you never knew when your body would be attacked by a seizure? It might make that dream seem a lot more out of reach. Not for Bryson, he dreams big and there is not much he let’s get in his way! He gets his share of high speeds and the thrill of victory by riding motocross and playing baseball.

Bryson was diagnosed with Epilepsy at the age of 9 months and battles every day to overcome the side effects of the exhausting and unpredictable seizures. It’s especially difficult for Bryson when a seizure happens in front of others because they don’t always understand what is happening. Despite everything, Bryson is a very strong, positive, and outgoing young man. He loves meeting new people and his mom tells us “he has never met a stranger.”

Bryson loves spending time with his family. They give Bryson the support and patience he needs to live as normally as possible with Epilepsy. They are all willing and eager to ride shotgun with him during all of his racing adventures. We look forward to partnering with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in his final season as a professional NASCAR driver to help make Bryson’s dream come true.
