Meet Burke

Burke was just 3 years old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. He faced it head-on, enduring rounds of chemo, radiation, stem cell transplants, and surgeries—eventually reaching remission. But earlier this year, Burke and his family received devastating news: a new cancer had returned.

Now 13, Burke is in the middle of another tough fight. He’s undergoing more rounds of chemo, plus proton therapy, and is tackling every challenge with the grit and humor that earned him the nickname “Burke the Brave.” He recently rang the bell after completing 20 rounds of proton therapy—wearing his proton mask with ease despite inflammation, mouth sores, and nosebleeds. Even during the toughest days, Burke rarely complains and follows every doctor’s instruction, determined to keep moving forward.

Burke’s sense of humor is as strong as his spirit. On the first day back to school, he laughed after the principal greeted him, saying: “I didn’t know he knew my name… but I guess I am the only bald student at school and the only Burke!”

When he’s not in treatment, Burke loves sports and gaming—so much so that he has his own YouTube channel, TurtlePro Gaming, with over 300,000 subscribers along with his very own merch line! In addition to gaming, he loves spending time cheering on his beloved UGA Bulldogs and Philadelphia Eagles.

His ultimate dream? To attend the College Football Playoff National Championship and create a once-in-a-lifetime experience with those he loves most.

Burke's Dream

From the moment they arrived, Burke and Julia’s Dream On 3 experience at the College Football Playoff National Championship was nothing short of unforgettable. Burke’s Dream Experience started with an incredible send off at his house including Freddie the Falcon, Falcons Cheerleaders, and friends and family.

Upon arrival in Miami, the family was whisked off to CFP Headquarters — always a treat — and kicked off the weekend with private shopping sprees hosted by the CFP to jumpstart their dream weekend in style.

Saturday morning was a major highlight at Media Day, where Burke and Julia had full access alongside national reporters. They met players, took photos, and Burke even got to ask Carson Beck a question during his interview! Both kids snapped pictures with Beck and Fernando Mendoza, while Julia’s dream moment came true meeting legendary broadcasters Holly Rowe and Chris Fowler. Fernando even took the time to huddle up with Julia and Burke, participating in a “1, 2, 3 DREAM” cheer!

The weekend kept getting better with VIP concerts both Saturday and Sunday night — their favorite featuring Calvin Harris, Xandra, and John Summit.

Game day brought extra excitement as the families enjoyed a pregame tailgate on CFP’s Terrace, watching Pitbull perform live before heading into a thriller of a championship game where Indiana finished off their perfect 16-0 season.

A VIP pregame stadium tour — complete with a special message for Burke and Julia on the jumbotron — was the perfect finishing touch to an already magical weekend.

Huge thanks to the College Football Playoff for hosting our families all weekend long and making dreams come true in the biggest way possible!
