Christopher is an energetic, joyful eight-year-old with a big heart and an even bigger imagination. He loves to be silly, make people laugh, play sports, read, and learn new things. He is both social and independent, a loyal friend who has kept the same friends since kindergarten, and a sensitive soul who truly wants everyone around him to be happy.
Christopher has overcome many challenges in his young life. He was born with drugs and alcohol in his system and spent his first days in the NICU. As a toddler, he was diagnosed with global developmental delays and worked through years of therapy to learn to crawl, talk, and walk—once needing ankle braces and now walking confidently on his own. In addition to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Christopher lives with hereditary gene deletion, ADHD, anxiety, asthma, and autism. With the support of incredible programs like Glass Preschool, Wabash Center, and Grant’s House, Christopher continues to grow, thrive, and shine.
Along with his caring nature, what makes Christopher truly special is his love for sports. He recreates full games at home, complete with jerseys, halftime talks, locker room chats, and even the National Anthem—his favorite song! When Christopher plays, he plays with his whole heart.
Christopher’s biggest dream would be to meet Nya Smith along with the entire Boilermakers Women’s Basketball Team and we look forward to making that dream come true!
