Meet Henry, an outgoing, fun-loving 18-year-old who brings joy to everyone he meets. Born with Down syndrome, Henry is full of life—he loves music, dancing, sports, and being surrounded by friends. Whether he’s chatting nonstop or quietly taking everything in, Henry always leaves people smiling. He’s kind, warm, and has a heart that sees the good in everyone.
Henry faces challenges that make independence and communication difficult, but he never lets any challenge stop him. With support from his loved ones along with his steadfast determination, he works hard to overcome obstacles—always focused on being part of the group and doing the things he loves. His resilience and positive spirit shine through in everything he does.
Over the years, Henry has performed in school musicals, helped run the Spartan Sips café at his school, ushered at church, and worked supervised jobs in the community. He loves being involved, contributing, and connecting with others—and he does it all with enthusiasm and pride.
Henry’s Dream is to be part of the Alabama Football team. He dreams of riding the team bus, walking through the tunnel, suiting up in the locker room, and standing on the sidelines as their “hype coach”—getting the team pumped up before the big game. He’s also a huge fan of Big Al, Alabama’s mascot, and would be thrilled to meet him in person. For Henry, being on the field with the team he loves the most would be the ultimate celebration of everything he loves: sports, teamwork, connection, and joy.
Henry is the perfect example of resilience, love, and light. He changes lives just by being himself—and the world is truly a better place because he’s in it!
