Meet Jayden, a courageous and resilient 14-year-old from Powdersville, SC. Nicknamed “PJ” (Pride & Joy) by his grandfather, Jayden is known for his bright smile, deep faith, and his immense love of Clemson football. Before his life-altering diagnosis, he was a running back for his middle school team and played clarinet in the school band—two things that brought him joy and purpose.
Jayden was diagnosed with a rare and painful condition called lymphatic malformation, which caused severe abdominal pain and took away his ability to walk. He endured countless medical tests, many surgeries, and long seasons of physical and emotional hardship. At one point, he relied on a transport chair just to move around, missing out on school, friendships, and the activities he loved most. The isolation and uncertainty were incredibly difficult—but Jayden never gave up.
Finding strength in his unshakable faith, the love of his mom, and a dedicated care team, Jayden is now walking again and slowly rebuilding his strength.
Jayden’s dream? To return to the field he once called home. He hopes to meet the Clemson football running backs, hear their stories, and learn how they push through challenges. He also dreams of joining the marching band for a pep tune, seeing himself on the Jumbotron, and sharing a special moment with Coach Dabo and The Tiger!
Jayden was chosen as a Dream On 3 recipient because of the incredible strength, faith, and determination he’s shown through all of the ups and downs. He inspires everyone around him—and now, he’s ready to stand on the famous Memorial Field and shout “GO TIGERS!” with a heart full of hope and joy.
