Meet London, a 17-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina with a spirit that never wavers. London lives with an intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) that made her early years especially challenging, particularly while searching for a school where she could truly learn, grow, and belong with her peers. Though that journey took time, London never lost her spark.
Today, she is thriving! With the right school environment and a medication routine that helps manage her seizures, she has found her community and her confidence. Her growth has been extraordinary, and she continues to show up every day with determination and joy. Whether it is glam or sports, London is the best of both worlds, and the game of basketball brings a smile to her face that is impossible to miss.
Basketball has become a place where she feels inspired. She dreams of stepping into a big arena, meeting women who play at an elite level, learning from them, and seeing behind the scenes from the locker room to the court where the game comes alive. London is especially excited about meeting the athletes she admires and getting their autographs, imagining that one day someone might ask for hers!
London is a superstar in our eyes, and this dreamer is making history. She will be the first-ever NJCAA Dreamer, attending the 2026 Division I Women’s Basketball Championship in Lake Charles, LA as a VIP. This milestone beautifully reflects NJCAA’s belief that Opportunities Start Here and shows that for London, the possibilities are truly endless!
