Meet Miles

Miles is a big teddy bear who lights up every room he walks into. He’s sweet, sincere, and full of personality. He’s known for his hilarious movie one-liners and his deep love of food—just don’t catch him when he’s hangry!

Miles lives with autism, and while he’s incredibly observant and a great listener, communication hasn’t always come easily. Living with autism has made connecting with peers tough at times, but Miles is one of the hardest-working people you’ll ever meet. Doctors once said he’d never speak—but Miles had other plans. Shortly after turning six, he began speaking in full sentences, and he hasn’t stopped talking since.

He learns by watching and gives everything he does 110%. Whether he’s encouraging his mom with sweet words or taking first place in a regional bowling tournament, Miles always gives his very best.

Miles lives in Oklahoma with his family, and his biggest dream is to attend an Oklahoma University basketball game and throw a free-throw on the court. He’s a huge OU fan, and the chance to stand on that court, hear the crowd, and be part of the action would mean everything to him. It’s more than just a game—it’s a chance to be seen, celebrated, and to shine in a way only Miles can.

Miles's Dream

Miles’ dream tipped off in the best way possible with a surprise send off right at home. The Dream Team showed up at his door with posters, cheers, high energy, and a luxurious sprinter limo waiting outside. From there it was volume 100 music, nonstop dancing, a few classic teenage 6’7 jokes, and endless movie quotes all the way to Norman. When we pulled up to the hotel, the welcome committee was none other than BOOMER himself. Hugs, laughs, and huge smiles set the tone for an unforgettable weekend. Miles walked into a hotel room decked out in all things OU, complete with a snack basket he wasted no time digging into. The night continued at Main Event where he did what he loves most, bowling and playing games with his crew.

Day two started the only way it should. Waffle House. After a slow morning that included some well deserved pool time and downtime at the hotel, we grabbed lunch at Raising Cane’s because Miles is a true chicken finger connoisseur. Then came a major highlight. A behind the scenes tour of the Griffin Family Performance Center, made possible by the family of NBA legend and Sooner alum Blake Griffin. The facility was next level. Miles shot hoops on the practice court, relaxed in the massage chairs, and soaked in every moment from the locker room to the iconic shoe and media walls. He even sat courtside for practice, watching the Sooners prepare for game day. We wrapped the night with delicious Mexican food at Ted’s and headed back for some much needed rest after two action packed days.

Game day arrived with a relaxed morning before fueling up at Hideaway Pizza. Then came a big shopping spree where Miles was hooked up with every piece of OU gear and accessory you could imagine. That evening he showed up to dinner in full spirit mode wearing his OU basketball jersey, beads, and chain, ready to cheer on his team. At the arena, Miles got to step onto the court as the ball boy during warmups, passing to the players like a natural and even joining the team huddle before heading to his premium seats just two rows from the action. The night ended with an OU win, and we are pretty sure Miles was the good luck charm.

From surprise send off to game day glory, Miles’ dream was full of joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Exactly what Dream On 3 is all about.
