Parker's Dream

Meet Parker

Meet Parker, a small-town 12-year-old with a big heart, quiet strength, and an unstoppable spirit.

Born with spina bifida, Parker is partially paralyzed from the waist down and fully paralyzed from the knees down. Regardless of what life has thrown his way, he’s never let his diagnosis slow him down. Parker tackles every challenge with a positive mindset. Whether he’s spending time with his close-knit family, playing fishing-themed video games, helping with DIY projects around the house, or hanging outdoors, Parker lives life to the fullest – especially when it involves fishing, his favorite pastime.

Described by his coach as the “Steph Curry” of his wheelchair basketball team, Parker is a standout athlete. He travels three hours each way multiple times a month to practice with the Charlotte-based Rollin’ Hornets, showing a level of dedication well beyond his years. He also plays wheelchair tennis and is always eager to take on new challenges in sports and life.

Parker has learned to adapt and overcome with incredible resilience. He inspires everyone around him with his determination and mental toughness. The outdoors isn’t naturally adaptive, which makes pursuing his passions one of his greatest challenges- but also where his perseverance shines most. Recently, fishing has become a special outlet for him that is peaceful, exciting, and therapeutic. His ultimate dream? Catch some bass with his favorite YouTuber, Ty PigPatrol!

Parker's Dream

Texas showed up BIG for Parker’s Dream On 3 experience.

From the moment his dream began, Parker was surrounded by incredible hospitality, unforgettable moments, and some truly legendary fishing.

One of the highlights of the trip was a full day on the water with Ty Pig Patrol, where Parker fished for an incredible nine hours. The group had an unbelievable day, catching more than 100 fish together, including impressive 2-4lb crappies and 3-6lb bass. For Parker, it was the kind of fishing day most anglers only dream about.

Day three brought another unforgettable adventure when Parker went catfishing with Ty and Big Rich Fish, who generously donated the experience. Rich’s kindness and expertise made the day even more special, and Parker reeled in the catch of a lifetime: a 15 pound catfish, the biggest fish he has ever caught and a personal best he will never forget.

Off the water, Parker and his family were treated like VIPs everywhere they went.

At the Embassy Suites Frisco Convention Center, the staff rolled out an incredible welcome with yard art outside the hotel, a full clap line of team members greeting the family, balloons, cupcakes, and an over the top gift basket packed with fishing gear Parker had been dreaming about.

The second evening ended with an unforgettable visit to Cosm Dallas to watch Arizona take on Iowa State. When Parker arrived, he was surprised to see his photo displayed on the big screen welcoming him inside. The Cosm team made sure Parker felt like a star with reserved seating, a special swag box, incredible service, and a fully hosted experience for the entire family.

Throughout the trip, Parker was surrounded by generosity and kindness from so many incredible partners who helped make his dream possible. From unforgettable fishing adventures to VIP experiences and warm hospitality, this dream was filled with moments Parker and his family will treasure forever.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring Parker’s dream to life, including Dream Sponsor, RJ Vanhoy, Big Rich Fish, Embassy Suites Frisco Convention Center, Cosm Dallas, Free Fly Apparel, and Social House DFW for showing Parker what Dream On 3 is all about.
