Meet Siena, a resilient 18-year-old from Snowmass Village, Colorado, who is the definition of grit and heart. A lifelong competitive hockey player, she was slated to attend the prestigious Northwood School in Lake Placid to pursue her dreams on the ice. Known for her fierce competitiveness, she’s also an all-around athlete— from wakeboarding and dirt biking to working on Ford trucks, she thrives in every challenge. In fact, she even holds her high school bench press record at 305 lbs!
In May on 2024, Siena’s life changed in an instant when she suffered a traumatic brain injury that was both devastating and life-threatening. She spent six weeks in a coma before enduring months of grueling physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Siena had to relearn everything—how to walk, talk, and complete even the most basic functions—before finally returning home.
Her recovery has been nothing short of remarkable, fueled by her determination and the heart of gold she brings to everything she does. Even through this setback, her sweet nature and positive energy continue to shine.
Today, Siena continues to be known for her resilience, love for 80’s and country music, and her big dreams. While she dreams of becoming an engineer one day, her ultimate sports Dream is to meet Cale Makar and skate with her hometown team, the Colorado Avalanche!
