If you don’t know Billie, you are truly missing out! This charismatic, 16-year-old sophomore from Trinity, NC easily brings a smile to everyone’s face. Billie’s big personality shines bright whether he’s rapping or talking gaming systems…but he especially shines when the conversation surrounds basketball!
Billie doesn’t let living with autism hold him back from chasing his dreams. Going into his freshman year, Billie’s goal was to join the high school basketball team. After lots of practice, Billie got his chance to shine on the court with his high school JV team and he did not disappoint! He scored four three-pointers in two minutes making him the lead scorer in the game. This stoked the fire in Billie to continue to practice and become the best basketball player he could be.
Being a big Michael Jordan fan, the UNC Tar Heels gained Billie’s allegiance early on. Billie’s dream is to meet and play basketball with his beloved ‘Heels! He looks up to this team tremendously and would love to meet Tar Heel standout guard, RJ Davis. The Junior Dream Team at Wheatmore High School is committed to making Billie’s dream come true!
