Meet Eli, a kind and caring 13-year-old guy who has been dealt with some challenging cards, but because of his belief in God and the support of family and friends, he plays the best game he can! When Eli was just 2 years old, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. For three years he battled but, once his family thought he was about to cross the finish line, sweet Eli had another setback – he was diagnosed with an immune deficiency disorder which was a direct result of his chemo treatment. Two steps forward, three steps back…
Despite all his ongoing medical challenges, Eli continues to battle! He puts on a brave face for twice-weekly infusions, he strives to keep up with his peers even though his energy level can be quite low, and he continues to love with all his heart. One bright spot in Eli’s life is his newfound love of golf. He has started taking lessons and absolutely loves the sport! He enjoys watching the PGA Tour and, most specifically, he loves to watch the golfer’s techniques to see how he incorporate them into his own game! Eli believes he can learn a lot from watching the pros play and would love to play golf with PGA pro, Webb Simpson.
