Meet Hannah, a bright and energetic 20-year-old from Kensington, Maryland. Hannah was born at just 25 weeks, weighing only one pound and 12 ounces. She suffered a massive brain hemorrhage on day three of life, which resulted in numerous challenges in the NICU and after, including her diagnoses of cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, blindness, seizures, and an intellectual disability.
Hannah has been a fighter since day one and that fighting spirit remains strong today! Hannah faces challenges with a huge smile and fierce determination. She is described by others as “human sunshine,” and has overcome each and every obstacle with a smile and so much joy. She brings happiness to everyone she meets and has a way of making everyone around her better than they were before they met her.
A true renaissance woman, Hannah loves, and plays, almost every sport, but she especially loves soccer! Hannah loves to cheer on George Washington University’s Women’s Soccer team and the GWU Collegiate Dream Team can’t wait to make her GWU Dream come true!
