This adorable little blonde 9-year-old hails from North Carolina’s very own Wilmington and could easily be UNCW’s #1 fan. Out of all the sports offered at the college, Henry loves soccer (he plays for a local YMCA team) and basketball where he learned from Coach Mike to, “Dribble, dribble, shoot!” His mom states that he tires more quickly than others and that his gross motor skills are slightly delayed, but “Down syndrome is part of who he is, and that it doesn’t define him.”
Henry is the oldest child in his family, he has two siblings, and he is the only boy. His family describes him as “a bundle of joy” that is curious, brave, and joyful. His laugh is infectious, and you can often hear it when he is watching his favorite movie, Hotel Transylvania, or playing the video game, Angry Birds. He loves Science, spaghetti and meatballs, but most of all he loves to be active playing sports.
The UNCW Collegiate Dream Team selected Henry to be their Dream Recipient. They are excited about getting to know him and they will be working hard to help make Henry’s baseball dream come true!
