Kory is an 8-year-old who had a rough start in life at no fault of his own. He was born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and was placed into foster care. At 12 months he was placed in a foster home with his now adoptive mother, Kathi. As Kory got older, he began to struggle behaviorally and academically. He was seen at The Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics of the Carolinas and was diagnosed with a Global Developmental Delay and ADHD. Despite his struggles, Kory is quite the athlete and social butterfly! Sports have been a great outlet for him. His bedroom is full of all things sports…baseball gloves, WWE posters, drawings of NBA players, and more.
Kory’s sports Dream was to “hit a baseball so hard it goes over the fence” and meet ANY Yankees player. We took him to the Yankees Spring Training in Tampa, where he was able to meet and play with several players, attend a Yankees game, and he even hit the ball over the fence three times! Kory was also able to meet Hall of Famer, Reggie Jackson, and attend the game in VIP fashion.
