We had the sweetest dream for the sweetest girl at the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Gymnastic Championship!
Lilly’s send off was at her home surrounded by her family and referral partner, Abound Health. She was so overwhelmed with excitement that she was brought to tears. The crew headed straight to the Greensboro Coliseum to be special guests at team practice where she was able to watch the four schools participating this weekend: NC State Gymnastics, Clemson Women’s Gymnastics, Pitt Gymnastics, and UNC Gymnastics.
Lilly quickly decided she was #TeamClemson because of her favorite color purple! After practice, Clemson head coach, Amy Smith, took it upon herself to come meet Lilly personally. She even invited Lilly to meet the team and take photos!
From here, the crew headed to Proximity Hotel where their team was ready and waiting for Lilly with a clap line and and a bouquet of lilies. They also gifted Lilly an amazing gift basket full of her favorite snacks.
We ended the evening with a lovely dinner at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, who gifted Lilly with a chocolate dessert.
The next day started with a visit to Greensboro Science Center where Lilly explored the animal exhibits, climbed through treehouses, and she even got to pet a shark and stingrays! The family also got to see the cutest hippo & her little calf!
After exploring all of the fun animals, it was time to fuel up with lunch! The team stopped by Hops Burger Bar – Spring Garden St. where they kindly covered a portion of the meals! Everyone enjoyed their burgers before heading back to the Proximity Hotel to get a quick rest for the exciting night ahead.
Once we arrived to the ACC Women’s Gymnastics Championship, Lilly cheered on her team, Clemson Women’s Gymnastics! She had such a blast watching all of the talented athletes. During the competition, Lilly was recognized to the entire arena, which made her feel so special.
