Meet Meredith, an 18-year-old who embodies Carolina pride, even though she’s never been to a game! Meredith is bold, funny, kind, and endlessly optimistic. She’s the ultimate cheerleader, not just for her family and friends, but also for anyone lucky enough to know her.
Living with Down syndrome, Meredith faces challenges with unwavering patience and persistence. If you ask anyone about Meredith, they’ll tell you she is the happiest person they’ve ever met. She loves unconditionally, forgives unconditionally, and worries about nothing.
Meredith is passionate about makeup, Shawn Mendes, dancing, Raising Cane’s, and hockey…but her biggest love is cheering for her friend Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels. With both her big brother and twin sister attending UNC, the university has become a big part of her family’s life, and the UNC medical system has been a strong support to them as well. Meredith proudly sports her UNC gear to school, showing her Tar Heel spirit every chance she gets!
Now, the UNC Collegiate Dream Team is eager to give back to Meredith, helping her experience Carolina Athletics up close. And as a proud member of her school’s JV cheer team, Meredith is ready to bring her cheer skills to support Hubert Davis and the 2024-2025 Men’s Basketball team with all the enthusiasm only she can bring!
