Meet Miana

Meet Miana, a bubbly and fun loving 9-year-old from Locust Grove, Georgia! Miana never misses an opportunity to share all about her love for dance and drawing. This larger than life kiddo has shown strength through challenges and continues to amaze everyone around her.

Miana was taking ballet and living her normal day to day life when one day, she went into the doctor, and they found a heart murmur. Shortly after, they discovered she had Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Soon after, this sweet little girl had surgery to remove the thickening around her heart. Miana will most likely have to endure more surgeries in the future, but hopes to return to the ballet studio soon. For now, she loves to show off her pirouettes whenever she has the opportunity.

Miana is a huge New Orleans Saints fan and her ultimate sports dream is to dance with the Saints Cheer Krewe!

Miana's Dream

Miana’s Big Easy Dream kicked off with a schoolwide surprise where the principal announced the start of her Dream over the loudspeaker! Soon after, Miana was escorted through cheering classmates and teachers to find a limo waiting for her out front. The next day the crew headed to the airport bright and early. Once on the plane, Miana was invited to sit in the cockpit where she loved learning all about how a plane flies. Upon arrival in New Orleans, we received the warmest welcome from our friends at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

After a leisurely dinner with some time to rest and recharge, we made our way to the Saints Krewe practice where Miana got 1:1 time with the team learning dance moves and even trying out some stunts! The entire team went above and beyond in welcoming Miana with open arms and we are so grateful for their love and support of our girl.

Friday and Saturday consisted NOLA Brewing & Pizza Co., who let Miana make her own pizza, which she rated 10 million out of 10.

On Sunday, Miana donned her beautiful new outfit and bow! Before the game, she was able to dance with the team, performing their signature crunk dance before sitting just a few rows up from the field where she had the perfect view of the Saints Krewe. The team made sure they had time to chat with her and pose for pictures from the sidelines, which Miana loved. The icing on the cake was a surprise from her grandpa, who lives in New Orleans. She was so thrilled to see him!

Special thanks to the Saints Krewe for loving on Miana and making her Dream come true! In addition to those mentioned above, we would also like to thank Meril’s, Delaware Limo, The Company Burger, and the New Orleans Saints.

Lastly, thank you to Madison Schulte Media for the photos that captured memories that will last a lifetime.
