At the age of six, Myles was diagnosed with medulloblastoma – a type of brain cancer. He quickly started an aggressive treatment plan which placed a tremendous amount of radiation to his spine and brain causing neuroprocessing and memory issues, growth hormone deficiency, balance issues, thyroid problems, and hearing loss. Now cancer-free, even after relapsing at age 11, many of these symptoms still impact his life daily.
Myles’ determined spirit has never let his symptoms hold him back. After learning that his dream job of being a pilot isn’t possible due to his health conditions, he took things in stride. You can now find him in college, taking classes to work in the aviation field, being in charge of the planes from the ground!
When he’s not studying for his college classes, you can find Myles watching or learning about his true passion, Formula 1 Racing! Myles loves learning about the car’s engines, and studying the different race tracks, and finds inspiration in the determination and competitive spirit of the drivers. He’s never attended a race in person, but watches every race – even recording them when time zones don’t align!
Myles’ ultimate sports dream is to attend an F1 Race in person and see the engines of the cars he loves learning about up close. He’d also love to cheer on, or even meet, his favorite drivers Lando Noris and Max Verstappen.
With the need for speed, we are excited to meet Myles on the track and help him make his F1 Racing dreams come true!
