After a team dinner, the real magic began at Pascal Field House. As soon as Olivia stepped inside, the Duke Cheerleaders and Dancing Blue Devils formed a tunnel, cheering her on as she entered! At the end of the tunnel, she was presented with Duke team shirts and pom-poms, a moment that left her absolutely beaming with gratitude.
Her dream truly took shape as she joined both teams for a group photo before diving into practice. The Dancing Blue Devils guided her through routines, allowing her to choose the one she wanted to perform at the game. She shined with confidence! Then, the Duke Cheer team invited her to participate in a cheer formation, lifting her onto a base of two cheerleaders as the others built a towering formation behind her. Olivia radiated excitement as she mastered the routine with her new friends! With hugs all around, the group wrapped up the night, heading back to the hotel to rest for the big day ahead.
The next morning started with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Duke Basketball, led by Coach Eric. Olivia explored the rich history of Duke through memorabilia, walked the path of Duke players before stepping onto the court, and slapped the Duke logo just like the team does! She giggled with delight in the locker room, especially when sitting in front of her favorite player’s locker.
The tour continued with stops at the team’s ice bath and game room. Olivia even got to relax in a state-of-the-art recliner with water-based movement therapy. The next stop? A karaoke session in the music room! With a microphone in hand, Olivia belted out Taylor Swift songs and show tunes, joined by the Dream On 3 team and her sister.
After a fun shopping spree for Duke swag, it was finally time for the big event. Olivia arrived early at Cameron Indoor to warm up with the Duke Cheerleaders and Dancing Blue Devils. She practiced her routine, and the teams couldn’t get enough of her infectious energy and showmanship.
As game time approached, Olivia and her family found their incredible seats, feeling the electric energy only a Duke Men’s Basketball game at Cameron Indoor can bring. Just before halftime, Olivia’s moment arrived! She was ushered to center court, where the announcer shared her story and introduced Dream On 3. The crowd erupted in cheers as Olivia waved to the stands, her family beaming with pride.
Then, the magic happened—Olivia joined the Dancing Blue Devils at center court, dazzling everyone with her energy and flair. The crowd went wild! Next, she joined the Duke Cheerleaders for her cheer and formation. Before she even completed it, the arena erupted once more, sensing something incredible was about to happen. And she did it—executing the routine flawlessly, inspiring everyone in attendance. The Duke Cheer team and Dancing Blue Devils embraced her as one of their own, making her feel truly part of the team.
With Duke securing a victory, the night ended on a high note. Olivia’s excitement carried into the next morning, where even at breakfast, hotel guests recognized her and praised her incredible performance.
