Twenty-year-old Windsor, CO native Shane Sorrentino is an energetic young man who is a local Windsor celebrity! Shane loves others deeply and is highly engaged in his local community. He currently attends the Windsor Exceptional Students in Transition (WEST) program as he continues his education learning valuable life skills and working at the Rec Center. Shane is living with the daily challenges of Down Syndrome, but he doesn’t let that dull his mega-watt smile he gives to all those around him!
Shane lives each day loving and caring for others and watching sports, especially his favorite team, the Denver Nuggets! His favorite sport is basketball, and when he’s not playing himself, he loves attending games and singing the National Anthem for Windsor. “I don’t get nervous at ALL!” he remarked!
When Shane is not playing basketball, you can find him riding his bike, hanging out with his friends, and going fishing. He also loves to play his guitar, listen to the tunes of Toby Keith and watch his favorite movies, the Harry Potter series.
Shane loves all sports, but the Denver Nuggets, and basketball, have his heart. When asked why he loved the Nuggets so much, he simply replied “because sports and the Nuggets make me so happy!”. Having the opportunity to be a VIP at a Denver Nuggets game would be a sports dream come true for Shane… so, let’s get to work to make this dream a reality!
