Introducing Taj, an 18-year-old who attends Central Cabarrus High School in Concord, North Carolina, who are proud two-time basketball state champions! Much like the Viking spirit, Taj’s dedication and passion for the game are infectious.
Despite living with a developmental disability that prevents him from playing at the varsity level, Taj remains unwavering in his love for basketball. He finds joy in shooting hoops, adding kicks to his sneakerhead collection, and being a dedicated fan of his favorite NBA team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Due to his developmental disability, Taj experiences challenges with daily responsibilities and has difficulty picking up on social cues or effectively expressing himself. However, his classmates understand the power of inclusion and are excited to unite the entire school and community together to gift Taj a once in a lifetime experience.
