Christopher's Dream

Meet Christopher

Meet, Christopher from Pender, NC – the most courageous 12-year-old that you can imagine! Christopher loves fishing and riding his bike almost as much as he loves the Cincinnati Bengals and the sport of football.

When Christopher’s mom found out she was pregnant with Christopher in 2012, there was a fifty percent chance that he would be born with Cystic Fibrosis. Although most would feel unprepared, they felt the opposite.

With the help of the doctors and nurses at UNC, they were able to step into this new season knowing it was exactly where they were meant to be. While this diagnosis has always been hard for Christopher because he just wants to “be like the others,” he never lets it stop him!

Although Christopher has his struggles, he is in a great place and has a strong support system of friends and family around him. He has incredible perseverance and is always defying the odds. He is currently thriving playing football with his Pop Warner team as the tight end and defensive end. Christopher never lets his diagnosis get in the way of his success.

This middle schooler finds inspiration from the Bengals players just as much as Dream On 3 is inspired by his persistence and tenacity.

We cannot wait to make his Bengals dream come true!

Christopher's Dream

Christopher’s special weekend started off with the warmest welcome from American Airlines. The flight crew made sure Christopher and his family had everything they could need and even invited him into the cockpit! As a first time flyer, we know this is an extra special experience Christopher will never forget.

Upon arrival in Cincinnati, we received a warm welcome from our friends at AC Hotel Cincinnati at the Banks where they had candy waiting in Christopher’s room. After, the crew headed to Nada for a delicious Mexican dinner. Nada even surprised Christopher with a Bengals themed gift basket!

Day two was spent at the Bengals practice at Paycor stadium. Christopher was gifted a football, which he later filled with autographs. Christopher met his favorite player, Joe Burrow along with Tee Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase, Andrei Iosivas, Charlie Jones, Evan McPherson, Erik All, Logan Wilson and Sam Hubbard. After practice, the family headed to the team store to load up on new gear for Sunday’s game!

After, the crew headed to lunch at Moerlein Lager House then to Full Throttle for go karting and axe throwing. After a dinner at McCormick and Schmick’s the family was ready to rest up for Dream Day.

Sunday started off with brunch at Taste of Belgium, who went above and beyond for our crew. They had a Bengals themed table with swag waiting for us upon arrival. It was the perfect start to an amazing day!

Even though the Bengals didn’t get the W, it was an action packed game that went into OT. Christopher and his family loved every minute of spending time in a city that they love so dearly!
