Jaquan is a 17-year-old Charlotte teen living with autism. He is currently a senior at Mallard Creek High School. His ability to interact with others is often impacted due to the challenge of effectively communicating his wants and needs. He also suffers from anxiety and difficulty sleeping.
The Sendoff: On Friday, November 20th, Jaquan’s peers and teachers at Mallard Creek High School helped us give him an incredible surprise sendoff. Sometimes loud noises and lots of excitement can be a lot for Jaquan but not at his sendoff, he was the loudest one in the room! He was all smiles and full of excitement as he chanted “Clemson! Jaquan! Clemson!” The energy was contagious.
His Dream: Jaquan is a HUGE college football fan! He shows his passion for football in how he spends his free time, which includes everything from collected sports illustrated magazines to watching football clips on youtube. His favorite team? The Clemson Tigers!
