Though Musa is passionate about football, unfortunately he cannot play the sport because he is confined to a wheelchair. His mother tells us that he was able to walk at birth, but over time lost that ability and, by the age of 5, he was no longer walking on his own. His current medical diagnosis is Cerebral Palsy which affects Musa’s ability to move his lower extremities. He overcomes those physical limitations with a winning smile, “can do” attitude, and overall swagger making him a favorite amongst his peers and classmates.
A select group of students has been chosen to lead Hopewell High School’s Jr. Dream Team. Throughout the coming months they will rally around Musa and work to help make his sports dream come true. Now that everyone knows that Musa’s favorite NFL team is the Washington Redskins and his favorite NFL player is star cornerback, Josh Norman, we say… “Let’s do this!” and let’s make his dream come true.
