Meet Sadie, a hardworking, motivated, and outgoing 18-year-old from Belmont, NC. Sadie grew up in a sports-minded family, and has always been a huge college football fan. Next year, she is attending the University of Alabama and playing on the Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team. She hopes to land a job in sports one day!
When Sadie was only three and a half years old her spinal cord was attacked by Transverse Myelitis. This paralyzed her from the waist down and has required a number of surgeries, including painful leg lengthening surgeries.
Despite her challenges, Sadie does not let it hold her back. She plays adaptive basketball on National Championship teams, as well as Adaptive Track & Field teams. She is an American Paralympic athlete with over 20 medals in track and field, and she hopes to play for Team USA, on the Wheelchair Basketball team. Sadie also excels in the classroom, earning National Academic Recognition for the last 7 years.
Sadie’s Dream is to attend the College Football Championship with her sports loving family!
